NannoLight is a versatile and dynamic intense pulsed light platform that allows you to perform high demand light-based aesthetic medical services. Owning the NannoLight is like having a suite of seven (7) lasers in one convenient platform. With a quick change of sapphire crystal light guide (up to seven different cut-off filters available), NannoLight can safely and effectively treat each of the following indications and more:

NannoLight’s advanced technology offers several proprietary features that help make it the most versatile and effective pulsed light system available:
- "Sub-zero" epidermal cooling: (NannoLight's unique chilled blue sapphire crystal filters) allow users to safely operate the system at higher power levels to achieve superior outcomes and greater patient comfort. The sub-zero chilling feature keeps the epidermis cool throughout the treatment to help prevent thermal damage to surrounding tissue. The NannoLight hand piece can be chilled to temperatures as low as -5 degrees C., which also allows users to treat severe cases safely.
- Square ("flat top") Spectrum Energy Profile: NannoLight utilizes advanced solid state electronics to provide a square spectrum energy profile. This technology allows NannoLight to maintain the selected energy fluence throughout the entire pulse duration discharge period.

- Variable Pulse Duration and Pulse Train Modes: NannoLight offers both a single pulse mode with adjustable pulse duration and a variety of different variable pulse (pulse train) modes.
The single pulsation output mode provides a single pulse within a select duration range (1 to 30 msec) and fixed delay between pulses (3-4 sec). The Multi-Pulse mode has seven (7) variable programs and provides the opportunity to deliver energy pulses to the site in slow or rapid succession to effectively treat the desired target without causing collateral damage. The delay between the "stacked" pulses can be adjusted and allows the epidermis to cool. In the Multi-Pulse mode, energy is delivered as intermittent "pulses within a pulse" allowing adequate tissue recovery time for the epidermis. The recommended durations of the pulses and "rest periods" are based on the respective thermal relaxation times of target chromophores (such as hair and blood vessels) in comparison to epidermal melanin. This comprehensive Multi-PIP feature allows many treatment options and permits you to achieve improved results with difficult cases and safely treat darker skin types while maximizing optimal energy settings for the highest efficacy.

Multi-Pulse Mode (Program M1): [Variable/Fixed Pulse Train]
- PIP Mode-2: First pulse can be adjusted from 5 to 30 ms in duration. Second pulse is fixed duration (10 ms). Delay (rest time) can be set between 5 and 50 ms. Provides 2 pulses "stacked" within a pulse train.
- PIP Mode-3: First pulse can be adjusted from 5 to 30 ms in duration. Second and third pulses are of fixed duration (10 ms). The duration of delay (rest time) can be set between 5 and 50ms. Provides 3 pulses within a pulse train.
- Rep rate: .33 seconds
Multi-Pulse Mode (Program M2): [Variable/Variable for Short Sub-Pulses and Long Pulse Train]
- PIP Mode-2-6: Number of sub-pulses (PIPs) can be selected from 2 to 6 subpulses. The pulse train can be “stacked” from 2 to 6.
- The pulse duration of each PIP can be selected (from 1 to 8ms).
- The duration of delay (rest time) between each sub-pulse (PIP) can be set between 5 and 50 ms.

NannoLight achieves specific light wavelengths with natural or chemically-coated blue sapphire crystal lens
filters. Generally, desired wavelengths for aesthetic treatments range from 410 to 1400 nm. The variety of the
NannoLight sapphire lenses allows a different wavelength light for the following chromophores:
410 nm: Acne PhotoClearance (mild to pustular inflammatory acne vulgaris)
530 and 560 nm: Pigmented structures (lesions, lentigos, etc.)
585 nm: Blood vessels (micro, small, medium size, medium depth, etc.)
640/690 nm: Hair follicles (brown and black melanin is the target)
In addition, with a variety of sapphire lenses, NannoLight provides the practitioner with the optimal wavelength
spectrum for each individual patient's skin phototype. As a general rule, higher wavelengths reduce the
absorption by melanin and can be used to reduce adverse skin effects from laser and IPL treatments. These
effects can include burning, blistering and crusting in individuals with darker skin tones (i.e., Fitzpatrick IV
through VI patients).
NannoLight provides an advanced lens system with two (2) sapphire lenses in place at all times together with
a proprietary gold-lined optical cavity. The gold reflector/liner absorbs undesirable wavelengths such as UVA
and UVB while reflecting the beneficial higher wavelengths. Working together with the two sapphire lenses
the gold reflector creates a unique triple filter system unparalleled in the industry.
The first lens is a permanent, fixed lens that eliminates undesirable UVA and UVB wavelengths and allows
only wavelengths higher than 410 nm to be delivered to the treatment site. The second SWL lens is
wavelength selective and allows the treatment of the numerous indications that can be successfully treated as

NannoLightTM has an effective triple-filtration system: It combines the selective filtration capability of its' gold reflector cavity
and two (2) blue sapphire filter crystals, for a system of three (3) filtration systems that effectively remove UV light waves from
each light pulse while maximizing the wavelength spectrum for the indication treated.
NannoLightTM's proprietary reflector cavity is 24K gold-coated and designed to absorb 100% of the UV light waves generated
by the flashlamp. The reflector cavity system reflects and focuses each light energy pulse to the blue sapphire crystal for
maximum fluence to the treatment area. The gold reflector cavity also re-cycles and optimizes secondary "bounce-back" light
scattering by returning and re-focusing the returned scattered light to the treatment area. This phenomenon, known as light
energy recycling, provides a reduction of wasted (i.e. scattered) light and increases NannoLightTM's fluence efficiency, providing
greater EFTA light energy per pulse. |
